Awkwafina was an American actor and musician from the United States who made her name with witty rappers, which explored issues of race and sexual identities from the most comical of perspectives. After that, she branched out to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came from playing the trumpet. Then, she started hip-hop and classical training. When she was in college, she was focusing on her studies, majoring in women's and journalism. In a short period during which she lived in Beijing and she also took classes in Mandarin. After graduation, she began to pursue music as her main focus. In 2012, her song My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet which led to her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also included songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour NYC Bitche$. This track was directly linked to her other venture, Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in the year 2015. The singer decided to pursue a career as an actor after having completed her two previous projects, as an author and musician. Her film credits include films like Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in 2018 and appeared in several notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out,"At Fina We Trust in June of that year.
