Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is most well-known for her performances in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series 'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series "ER". In addition, she is famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin was born to a department shop buyer and an elementary school teacher. Her first acting experience was at seven years old when her Aunt, who was the nanny of Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin to be a guest star on the television show Father Murphy. After graduating of Yale University, she took acting more seriously and landed important roles on the small and the large screen. Martin, besides being an actor, is also an accomplished photographer and ballet dancer. Martin is the mother of two children and is the spokesperson of Lupus. After her 19-year-old sister's death, Martin has worked to educate people about the disease.
